Father’s Day Monster Card Activity

The special guys in our life sure know how to give the biggest, most monstrous hugs! Show your dad or an important father figure how much they mean to you by following along to create this one-of-a-kind card. It’s sure to make them feel all warm and fuzzy, because it’s made with love from their little monster!

What You’ll Need:

• Printed Card Insert
• Construction Paper
• Acrylic Paint
• Pipettes/Straw
• Googly Eyes
• Scissors
• Glue
• Marker
• Dixie Cups/Water

Let’s Get Crafty:

Step 1: Print a card insert from the template provided. Cut it out along the border.

Step 2: Fold the card insert and the colored piece of construction paper in half.

Step 3: Write a Father’s Day greeting or message of your choice on the front half of the construction paper card.

Step 4: Open your card so it lays flat. Glue the card insert along the fold in the middle of the construction paper.

Step 5: Choose your favorite paint colors. Add some to each cup and mix with a little bit of water to thin it out.

Step 6: Use pipettes to add drops of paint onto the inside of the card. Then, use a straw to blow the paint around the page to design your monster.

Step 8: Add googly eyes to give your monster a personality. Get creative! You could even draw a mouth, crazy hair, or even add some sneakers!

Step 9: Share your unique creation with your dad or someone special.
