Let’s Celebrate Week of the Young Child

Celebrating Week of the Young ChildEvery year, the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) sponsors the Week of the Young Child, seven days devoted to celebrating early childhood education. The 2013 Week of the Young Child is happening April 14-20 and this year’s theme to celebrate is Early Years Are Learning Years.

We invite you and your family to join in celebrating seven inspiring days of learning with your young child. Like us on Facebook, follow us on Twitter and stay tuned here on our Learning Together blog as we explore the following topics this week.

Promoting Resilience in Young Children

Resilience is one of the best kinds of strength to have, which is why Dr. Heather Wittenberg is offering her top 13 ways you can encourage resilience in your children. The ability to emerge stronger in times of adversity is something that can be nourished in a child from a young age.
