Wondercamp is Back and Better Than Ever

In some ways, it feels like we just packed up the holiday decorations, yet somehow, summer planning is already here! Camp registrations typically begin early in the new year to give families ample time to make child care arrangements during the long school break.

The 2026 season will be our third year of Wondercamp across our community of Learning Care schools. The signature summer experience is tailored for each age group, from toddlers to school-age children (up to age 12). It’s a fun camp program designed to keep children engaged and learning in exciting ways while they make new friends and joyful memories—just as summer should be!

Get a Sneak Peek During Spring Break

For school-age children especially, spring break is a great time to experience Wondercamp before summer begins. Joining during the week, children will:

  • Get comfortable with the routine and environment
  • Reconnect with familiar faces and build new friendships
  • Ease into full-day summer programming
  • Feel confident and excited about coming back

The American Academy of Pediatrics highlights that consistent routines and positive peer connections support children’s emotional well-being, even when school is out. School-age children thrive when summer offers structure and flexibility. Wondercamp is intentionally designed to provide both. Each week, children explore new themes through:

  • Hands-on projects and guided play
  • Small-group collaboration and independent discovery
  • Outdoor exploration, games, and activities
  • Community experiences (including field trips at many locations)

Research from Harvard’s Center on the Developing Child shows that these types of experiences help strengthen the problem-solving, creativity, and executive function skills that support long-term learning and confidence.

Designed for Every Age

Wondercamp keeps kids engaged without making summer feel like school. What families love most is that learning feels natural and not forced.

  • Toddlers and Twos enjoy sensory-rich experiences, comforting routines, and language-building play as they continue to learn and grow.
  • Preschool and Pre-K children explore a range of unique ideas through inquiry, creativity, and guided exploration. New skills are always developing.
  • School-Age students take on bigger projects, collaborate with peers, and build independence, all while having fun and being social.

Play-based learning supports brain development, social skills, and emotional growth at every age, especially during the summer months.
