Welcome to The Children’s Courtyard in Grand Prairie, TX! My name is Sara and I am the campus director. I bring more than 23 years of experience as a teacher and manager to my position. I’d like to take this opportunity to tell you how our Infant Care, Toddler, Preschool, Pre-K and School-Age programs provide children with a unique learning environment.
We have an outstanding group of teachers! More than half of them have been with us for two years or more and many of them have been here for 10 years or more. They receive quarterly training sessions on age-specific children’s topics, as well as an all-day staff development training day twice each year.
Our building houses multiple classrooms for each age group along with two indoor play areas. We have a separate School-Age building with facilities to offer children a variety of recreational and educational activities. Since we opened in 1996, we have provided a safe, warm and welcoming learning environment for children.
We closely follow recommendations from state and local authorities, to maintain a clean, safe, healthy environment. We’re committed to providing simple ways to keep you connected throughout the day while your child is in our care. With live streaming video, you can view your child’s classroom from any device or computer. Plus, get real-time updates with our family communication app.

Are you concerned about the impact of COVID on your child’s education? You’re not alone. Now, more than ever, early education matters. We’re here to help.
Starting at the front door, our already robust health and safety procedures have been enhanced to ensure a clean, welcoming school environment. The well-being of your child is our top priority, now, and always.
Elective programs allow students to learn by exploring creative outlets that will help them advance in the future—while giving your family more free time on evenings and weekends. We offer:
Fitness, Soccer, Music, Yoga, Spanish, Phonics, Handwriting & Advanced Math
In this classroom, your child will make discoveries and think independently, as we prepare them for the future. The authentic Montessori curriculum enables children to learn in their own way, at their own pace, through the practical application of sensory-based and self-directed activities. Our certified Montessori teacher spends significant time with each child, helping them discover unique talents and interests. Plus, a full complement of Montessori equipment offers tangible, hands-on learning opportunities to develop children’s skills and senses.
This mixed-aged classroom (for 3- to 6-year-olds) also helps children to develop social skills and challenges them to learn to work together—while being mindful of the best interests of others.
Ask your school director for additional details.
Our School-Age classroom is a perfect setting for productive, engaging mornings and afternoons, where children become thinkers, makers, and doers. Some enhancements in this classroom include:
Education: Bachelor of Arts in Psychology
Certifications: Elementary Ed EC-6
I have been a part of The Children's Courtyard team since 1997. I love working with and educating young children and have always felt early education is the foundation of lifelong learning. In my spare time I love to spend time with family and travel.
