Welcome to The Children’s Courtyard at Brookmont, located within the Brookmont subdivision on Chapel Hill Road in Douglasville, GA. My name is Alyssa and I am the Campus Director. I have worked in early childhood for eight years, six of which have been with Learning Care Group, and I have a bachelor’s degree in early childhood and childhood education.
Our educational daycare offers Infant Care, Preschool, Pre-Kindergarten and other early education options, as well as Before- and After-School care for School-Age students. Our Preschool, Pre-Kindergarten, and School Age are Tech + Tinker classrooms, where we combine hands-on exploration with digital tools that enhance our world and our ability to solve problems in new and different ways. These classrooms have iPads with educational apps that build math and literacy skills, robots for coding, and a flat screen TV with gaming system for our Grow Fit initiative. Our new Prep Lab program for elementary aged students ensures that a loss of learning does not happen while schools are not in regular session.
The health and safety of our families and staff is our top priority. Our daily health screening of all children and staff members include temperature checks along with wellness questions. We also ensure frequent hand-washing and sanitation of toys and throughout the day.
We offer many flexible options for working families, including full time care, part time care, half days, and Flex care, where you pay based on attendance! We would love to accommodate your changing schedules. And while you're away at work, you can soon check in on your child's classroom through our WatchMeGrow live-streaming cameras.
Our loving and dedicated staff members take part in training throughout the year to stay current in the field of early childhood education.
I invite you to come in for a tour of our Children’s Courtyard in Douglasville, GA. We look forward to meeting you!
Our first priority is making sure infants both are safe and feel safe, in a nurturing, stimulating classroom. Toys and materials allow for freedom of movement within safe boundaries, so children can explore, develop motor skills, and engage their curiosity.Learn More

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and Childhood Education
When I started working in early childhood education, I knew this was my calling! I love bringing happiness and silliness into the classroom. I also love working and training with other early educators who share a passion for teaching young ones! Fun fact: I am obsessed with sloths!
Education: Bachelors Degree in Communications
Jamion Johnson born and raised in Akron, Ohio. I obtained Bachelors degree in Communications with an emphasis in interpersonal communication. Prior to Learning Care Group, I managed in the hospitality industry and worked in banking. I started my journey with LCG March 2019 by working at a Tutor time in Ohio as an assistant School age teacher. This led to a full time Lead teacher position and full-time chef for the center as well. Fun fact, cooking is my vice!
