Hello, and welcome to The Children's Courtyard here in Plainfield, IL! My name is Carly Muzzy and I'm the director of The Children's Courtyard. I have over 20 years of experience in the early childhood field and enjoy putting it into practice every day.
Our educational daycare offers programs for children ages six weeks through 12 years in our Infant, Toddlers, Two's, Early Preschool, Preschool, Pre-K, half-day Kindergarten and Before- and After-School programs. We also offer a Preschool and Pre-K select 3-hour program.
We closely follow recommendations from state and local authorities, to maintain a clean, safe, healthy environment. We’re committed to providing simple ways to keep you connected throughout the day while your child is in our care. With live streaming video, you can view your child’s classroom from any device or computer. Plus, get real-time updates with our family communication app.
The talented staff members at our school have many years of experience in the field and partake in various training opportunities throughout the year. Many of our staff have been with us since our school opened!

Are you concerned about the impact of COVID on your child’s education? You’re not alone. Now, more than ever, early education matters. We’re here to help.
Starting at the front door, our already robust health and safety procedures have been enhanced to ensure a clean, welcoming school environment. The well-being of your child is our top priority, now, and always.
In this classroom, your child will make discoveries and think independently, as we prepare them for the future. The authentic Montessori curriculum enables children to learn in their own way, at their own pace, through the practical application of sensory-based and self-directed activities. Our certified Montessori teacher spends significant time with each child, helping them discover unique talents and interests. Plus, a full complement of Montessori equipment offers tangible, hands-on learning opportunities to develop children’s skills and senses.
This mixed-aged classroom (for 3- to 6-year-olds) also helps children to develop social skills and challenges them to learn to work together—while being mindful of the best interests of others.
