Welcome to Our School
Welcome to The Children's Courtyard for North Plainfield! Our early childhood education program offers classes for children ages six weeks through twelve years in our Infant, Toddlers, Two's, Early Preschool, Preschool, Pre-K, Before and After School programs. We also offer a Preschool/Pre-K Select 3-hour program (9:15am-12:15pm) which follows the District 202 Holiday Calendar.
The talented staff members at our school have many years of experience in the field and partake in various training opportunities throughout the year. Each set of classroom teachers puts their special flair into the curriculum which is based on High Scope philosophy!
We’re committed to keeping you connected throughout the day while your child is in our care. Families have access to live streaming video of their child’s classroom, plus other real-time updates, with our exclusive mobile app for families, Sprout About. Assessments are completed throughout the year, and we offer family conferences twice a year to share your child’s progress in the program.

Carly Muzzy, Director
Education: Associate of Science in Early Childhood Education
Certifications: CPR & First Aid, ServSafe Food Handler
Carly Muzzy has worked with children since 2000 and started in management in 2002. She truly enjoys working with the children, staff and families and is committed to quality programming. Carly loves the field of early childhood education because every day is different, and the children always put a smile on her face!

Education: Bachelor of Science Family & Consumer Sciences (Child & Family)
Certifications: CPR & First Aid, Director Credential Level 1
I have worked in the Early Childhood Education field since 1994. I have experience working with toddlers and preschoolers. I have over 20 years of experience working in programs in various center leadership roles. Children are our future and I believe that having a solid foundation built in the early years helps give children the advantage in their formal school years and the rest of their life. I am also committed to helping teachers grow in their profession.

Amy Shah has Bachelor’s Science in Elem. Education with Early Education & Kindergarten Endorsements from Mankato State University. She has been in the ECE field since 1996 working with all age groups. Amy started here in 2014! She can't wait to help your children learn and grow!

Education: Pursuing a Degree in Early Childhood
Certifications: First Aid and CPR
Jenny Altom attended University of Arkansas for Early Childhood and Psychology and currently attending Joliet Jr. College in Early Childhood Education. She has been in the ECE field since 2007 working with infants and toddlers. She started here in 2016 and can't wait to meet you and your family!
