Welcome to Our School
Welcome to our Children’s Courtyard daycare and preschool here in Lacey, WA! We are passionate about leading a team that is dedicated to providing high-quality care for our children and their families.
We offer Infant Care, Private Preschool, and other early education programs, as well as a Before- and After-school program for School-Age students. Our teachers have many years of experience and participate in various training opportunities throughout the year.

Meet Our Staff
Catherine Martin, Director
Education: AA in Elementary Education; AA in Early Childhood Education
I was born in Texas and later moved to the Pacific Northwest, where I have built both my family and career. I am a proud parent of six children ranging in age from 10 to 21 and have worked in the childcare industry for 15 years. I began my career as a Pre-K teacher before moving into a supervisor role and eventually into leadership. Watching children learn, grow, and reach new milestones brings me joy every day, and I feel fortunate to have a career where I can make a meaningful difference.

Education: AA in Early Childhood Education
I joined The Children’s Courtyard in 2024 and have grown to appreciate the high-quality care and education we provide for our families. I believe that creating a safe, fun, and engaging learning environment, along with providing age-appropriate curriculum, is essential to supporting each child’s growth and development. I am excited to be part of implementing our early learning program and helping children build a strong foundation for future success.

Hello! I am excited to serve as the Team Lead here at The Children’s Courtyard. I have worked in childcare for more than 10 years and joined The Children’s Courtyard in 2023. One of my favorite parts of my role is watching our children learn, grow, and reach new milestones each day. I believe in caring for every child as if they were my own. Gentle, child-led learning and care are extremely important to me, and I strive to create a nurturing, supportive environment.
