Welcome to Our School

Welcome to The Children’s Courtyard in Grand Prairie, TX! My name is Sara and I am the campus director. I bring more than 25 years of experience as a teacher and manager to my position. I’d like to take this opportunity to tell you how our Infant Care, Toddler, Preschool, Pre-K and School-Age programs provide children with a unique learning environment.

We have an outstanding group of teachers! More than half of them have been with us for two years or more and many of them have been here for 10 years or more. They receive quarterly training sessions on age-specific children’s topics, as well as an all-day staff development training day twice each year.

Our building houses multiple classrooms for each age group along with two indoor play areas. We have a separate School-Age building with facilities to offer children a variety of recreational and educational activities. Since we opened in 1996, we have provided a safe, warm and welcoming learning environment for children.

I have over 25 years of experience in the early education field and have been with The Children's Courtyard since 2011. Working with children is my passion. The love and gratitude I receive from each child fills my heart with joy. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my husband of more than 29 years.

Welcome to the Children's Courtyard. My name, is Shaylan and I am the Preschool Manager! I have been with the Children's Courtyard since 2008. I have almost 20 years of experience in early childhood development. I developed my passion for children at an early age. It warms my heart to be greeted with smiles and hugs from the children each day. In my spare time, I enjoy travelling and spending time with my children, other family members and friends.
