Teachers & Classrooms

Professional Teachers, Academic Setting

Kid writing numbers on the wall

A solid educational foundation begins with teachers. That’s why our teachers are highly trained, highly motivated, and highly responsive professionals.

It starts with a customized assessment we developed to select the most competent teachers and care staff. This validated pre-hiring assessment uniquely identifies high-quality candidates. To our knowledge, no competitors use such a tool.

We check references and conduct thorough background checks based on state and/or local licensing requirements. This includes fingerprinting and appropriate criminal background checks, as well as verification of educational credentials. Candidates who will transport children undergo a thorough driving history check and annual checks.

We do this to protect the most valuable part of our school: your child.

In addition, all staff members study at one of our unique Master Schools where they are mentored by Master Teachers and taught effective best practices. That support continues throughout their careers with ongoing assessments, continuing education, and training.

Master Schools: A Place to Learn From the Best

Our Master Schools are unique in the industry. These schools:

  • Provide child care to children six weeks to Pre-Kindergarten.
  • Staff highly qualified Master Teachers, educational experts for their age group. (Your child learns from Master Teachers during their most formative years.)
  • Are of a smaller size and provide more intimate care.
  • Offer special programs including dance, Kindermusik, Stretch and Grow, and computer classes.

Similar to university child development labs, Master Teachers at each age level train and mentor new teachers to ensure every classroom is staffed by highly trained professionals.

Spaces That Inspire Learning and Creativity

Our schools provide large, window-filled classrooms and state-of-the-art, age-appropriate equipment, creating a dynamic, vibrant, active environment. Classrooms feature:

  • Developmentally appropriate activities for each age group
  • State-of-the-art technology to support and enhance curriculum
  • Activities that stimulate varied learning styles
  • Authentic work displayed that highlights our curriculum.

Clean Spaces

Cleanliness is vital, so we take significant precautions to prevent the spread of germs.

  • In the infant areas, all teachers and staff wear booties to limit outside germs.
  • All spaces that children come in contact with are regularly disinfected.
  • All the children’s toys are disinfected on a regular basis.

Safety & Security – Our Top Priority

Providing a safe, secure environment is our No. 1 priority. It’s as simple as that. We make every effort to keep your child safe, happy, and healthy.

Every location has procedures and standards that are strictly enforced, including:

  • Secure lobby and classrooms. Every entrance is equipped with an electronic lock. All parents must know the PIN number, while all visitors are greeted at the door to sign in and be assisted.
  • Visitor precautions. Photo ID is required from all unfamiliar visitors. A visitor listed as authorized to pick up a child must still show photo ID if they are not familiar to the school director and/or assistant director.
  • Equipment safety. One of our many precautions is “non-tippable,” child-sized tables. Regular monitoring ensures equipment is in good working order.

Nutrition – Healthy Choices for Growing Kids

Menus include a variety of foods which meet daily nutritional needs and satisfy licensing requirements. When substitutions are necessary, we’ll maintain the nutritional content of the overall menu and post updates so you know what’s been served.

Meals are served family style and may include your child assisting in areas such as:

  • Table setting
  • Food serving
  • Cleaning up

View the sample weekly menu that offers examples of the healthy options we offer for breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack.

We encourage children to sample new foods and taste what’s being served; however, we cannot require children to eat or punish them if they choose not to eat all foods served. Please speak with your school director if you have specific concerns because of:

  • Religious reasons
  • Special dietary needs
  • Allergies or other considerations
