Toddler Daycare

Providing a Better Environment for Toddler Development

Two toddler children.

Every daycare provider knows toddlers are a bundle of energy. At The Children’s Courtyard child care centers teachers harness that energy and develop weekly lesson plans that encourage participation and fun. Our teachers get to know each child, learn their strengths and needs and provide age-appropriate, engaging activities such as painting, water and sand play, book exploration, manipulative play, small group experiences and large group circle times. All of these experiences pave the way for toddlers in their path toward lifelong learning.

Our toddler curriculum is a combination of The Complete Resource for Infants® and The Complete Resource for Toddlers and Twos.® Both support our “hands-on” High/Scope philosophy. Toddlers strive in environments where they know what will come next. The High/Scope framework supports the use of a pictorial daily schedule, which enables toddlers to visually understand their day in predictable patterns.

Our classrooms offer a warm, homelike environment where toddlers can practice their emerging skills in all developmental areas.

Toddler rooms include:

  • Open areas for gross motor development
  • Cozy reflection areas for toddlers
  • Books, blocks, puzzles, action and reaction toys, and props
  • Learning centers for literacy, sensory, science, art, dramatic play, manipulative play and construction
  • Circle Time areas
  • Materials that are plentiful and easily accessible by toddlers

At The Children’s Courtyard we encourage parents to learn more about the quality child care and education we bring to our toddler programs. Find a school near you or request a visit to see for yourself.
