From day one, our goal is to help children prepare for their own day one of elementary school - and the years beyond. A solid foundation in literacy, mathematics and other basic skills is crucial to future success in school. And we balance instruction with active play, class participation and exploration, so that kids learn more, and love it.
Along with the High/Scope Learning Framework®, we use the Scholastic Kindergarten Place® Curriculum, and The Everyday Mathematics® Curriculum. Our teachers are well-versed on the Texas Education Agency (TEA) guidelines for Kindergarten programs, and the lessons they plan encompass development in all program areas.
A place where learning takes place
Teachers guide and help children in age-appropriate activities designed to help prepare them socially and intellectually for school. They keep records to show progress, and maintain a portfolio for each child. A progress report card with assessment information is sent home approximately every six weeks and parent teacher conferences are held bi-annually in the fall and spring.
