Our teachers’ number one priority for Pre-K? Making sure your child has the skills to excel in kindergarten and beyond. And because we understand that the attitude that children develop about school will follow them all through their academic years, we make sure to keep children interested, engaged and enchanted by learning.

We have chosen the DLM Express® Curriculum, and the High/Scope Active Learning Framework® as the basis to plan interesting and appropriate learning experiences for each child. The DLM Express® Curriculum correlates to the Texas Pre-Kindergarten guidelines and includes lessons over nine discipline areas. It is based on the latest implications from neuroscience on how children learn, and offers multiple ways to develop each lesson. With a strong emphasis in mathematics and literacy, it also gives teachers tools they need to develop a complete program that supports child development in all areas.

The print-rich environment includes shelves labeled with words and pictures, displays of children’s names, letters, sight words, numbers, and more. We strive for an unbiased, inclusive environment, so some items may be labeled in a foreign language representative of the children in the class, and we display diverse pictures of people and families.

Our teachers guide and encourage children as they develop skills that will serve as a foundation for their later success. Each teacher notes each child’s progress, and administrators spot check assessment data every month. We encourage parent questions and participation, and hold parent/teacher conferences twice a year.
