Three years old is a time of endless curiosity and wonder. Our teachers help satisfy children’s intense interests by getting to know their strengths and inclinations, and providing age-appropriate activities to help them build their skills and knowledge. In addition to the High/Scope Active Learning Framework®, we use the Doors To Discovery Early Childhood® in the Jr. Pre-K program. This forms an enriched program in all areas of development. Daily schedules include child initiated and teacher initiated activities.
Room to excel
Teachers read to children everyday either individually or in small groups and engage children in rhymes, songs and finger plays. The Jr. Pre-K environment is print-rich, with shelves labeled with pictures and words and children’s names, High/Scope symbols, and some items labeled in a foreign language representative of the children in the class.
Because we believe that parent involvement is key in education, we keep you informed through regular reports and twice-yearly conferences. We encourage questions and participation.
