Welcome to Our School

Welcome to The Children’s Courtyard at Brookmont, located within the Brookmont subdivision on Chapel Hill Road in Douglasville, GA.

Our educational daycare offers Infant Care, Preschool, Private Pre-Kindergarten and other early education options, as well as Before- and After-School care for School-Age students. We offer many flexible options for working families, including full time care, part time care, half days, and Flex care, where you pay based on attendance! We would love to accommodate your changing schedules.

My daughter started attending the children’s courtyard since she was 2 in Stockbridge. We ended up moving and at that tome there were no children’s courtyard in our area. We ended up moving again, and found one near us. It is a little out our way but so worth it. All of the staff know the children and parents. I love how engage they are with the kids. I love the academic and how they prepare the children

My husband and I love every aspect of the school, especially the cleanliness. The infant room is clean, each child has their own space for napping, everything is labeled and washed appropriately. The teachers are amazing. I really don't know how they do it every day, but they make it look easy. The security of the school is also another amazing feature. My husband likes that especially.

Alyssa Hertel, Director

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and Childhood Education

Certifications: 40 Hour GA Director Course, First Aid, CPR, Fire Safety

I have had the pleasure of working for LCG since 2014, and leading The Children's Courtyard in Douglasville since 2018. When I started working in early childhood education, I knew this was my calling! I love bringing happiness and silliness into the classroom. I also love working and training with other early educators who share a passion for teaching young ones! Fun fact: I am obsessed with sloths!
